NIMI is an architect and street artist who likes to experiment with a variety of techniques, mediums and creative
processes in his finely-detailed murals and paintings.
he originates from Johannesburg, South Africa, grew up in London and is now based in Bergen Norway, he describes his
street art as storytelling and visual interaction, the narrative-based characters who bear, the identity of their past
and present squarely on their shoulders showing the strength of their character.
The figurative based art is often heavily laden by representations of their culture and identity as well as elements of both the man-made and natural worlds – telling the story of the origins and journey of the human condition.
He interweaves elements of national romanticism and naivety into strong honest tales and his work can be found on walls throughout Europe and Africa.
Nimi has been part of several national and international festivals and projects.
He is part of the Nuart team in Stavanger and the SSOSVA Liverpool, he is a partner in the Non-profit charity
Aesthetic prosthetic raising money for a Non-profit prosthetic clinic in Gaza, Palestine.
He works locally with Children’s workshops and courses and lectures
for adults wanting to engage in the street art environment.
He has exhibited nationally in several Galleries and recently in a group exhibition in
The Saachi Gallery in London and the phoenix gallery in Aberdeen and has been globally published and filmed.
